Ringworm is very common disease in children. Children are often sensitive to, because their immune system is not as strong as an adult. The disease of childhood ringworm has nothing to do with a worm. It seems circular worm in the body, it makes such a look, hence the term was invented. Ringworm is actually a fungus that can be highly contagious, if not treated quickly. After a week of treatment, the possibility of spreading the disease to other body parts or other children is low.
