The pain of natural childbirth

The pain of labor is, in its first phase, due to the muscle fibers of the cervix, which is opening stretch and secondly is produced as a result of contraction of the uterine wall. Although visceral pain, perception is typically located in the skin and lower abdomen, just above the pubic area, with radiation in the lower back and thighs of the attack. In the second stage of labor, pain concerns mainly the stretching and possible tearing against the birth canal, perineum and skin of the vulva. The pain may bring along other annoying symptoms such as marked sweating, shallow breathing and frequent, painful stagnation of lactic acid. It occasionally happens that the woman vomiting or having diarrhea, as a reflection of the order "Clear!" imparted by the flow of oxytocin to all body organs.
